Queensland Neurosurgery & Spine Surgery (QNS) is a group practice of neurosurgeons founded by Dr Bruce Hall with a clear ethos of responsible intervention when required. We offer responsible intervention when required.

Meet Our Team

QNS neurosurgeons: Dr Bruce Hall, Dr Richard Laherty, Dr Rumal Jayalath, Dr Alex Koefman and Dr Paul Nichols are all Australian-trained doctors. Each completed their neurosurgery fellowship training via the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in intracranial and spinal neurosurgery before completing additional sub-specialty training. These surgeons demonstrate an ongoing commitment to public hospitals, and because QNS is their private practice, it enables them to provide you with highly personalized care.

In addition to training young neurosurgeons and medical students, our neurosurgeons also participate in medical research seeking to develop new treatments that might be used in future neurosurgery care.
